Lunar Eclipse Melbourne August 2007 - almost missed it!
Well we were lucky and the sky was clear but someone had not learnt how to fully control the camera at night! So some fast learning took place as the eclipse was almost over when I found tht the sky was clear and I only had to step out my front door and point the camera to the eastern sky. Struggled to find what I had to do to get the tripod to keep still as I opened the lens for an automatic time exposure which produced the best results seen here after lots of double and triple exposures done by moving the camera during exposure... should have used the self timer to prevent movement... and planned to get this photo.. thought it was going to be cloudy.
